My recent stay at Private Hotel Rei in Fujikawaguchiko was a delightful escape. Owned and operated by the gracious couple, Yoshi san and Aya san, their warm hospitality from the welcome drink to the heartfelt goodbyes was truly unforgettable. The air-conditioned rooms, each with a private bathroom and free WiFi, perfectly balanced comfort and modern amenities. The highlight for me was the private onsen in the room, providing a serene retreat with a view of the stunning Mt. Fuji.Beyond the cozy comforts, the hotel's setting offered a peaceful respite by Lake Kawaguchi, a tranquil backdrop for cycling with the complimentary bikes provided. Yoshi san's culinary skills truly shone during the 6-course premium dinner - a blend of traditional flavors and exquisite presentation that rivaled my global dining experiences. His passion for creating culinary masterpieces was evident in every dish, making each meal a memorable culinary journey. As a seasoned traveler and sake enthusiast, my conversations with Yoshi san, who fluently spoke English, enriched my stay with cultural insights and shared travel experiences. The personal touch extended to guiding us to local attractions and even offering a ride to the bus station upon check-out, showcasing their genuine care for guests' experiences.Private Hotel Rei's proximity to nature's beauty, like the Kawaguchi Asama Shrine and Lake Saiko, further enhanced the serene ambiance of the stay. The carefully curated American and Asian breakfast options, enjoyed against the backdrop of the picturesque setting, added a touch of luxury to each morning. In conclusion, Private Hotel Rei is not just a place to stay; it's an immersive cultural experience crafted with precision and care by Yoshi san and Aya san.
